Our Mission

At our school, we focus on helping all students do their best. We make sure every child feels supported and can do well.

P.S. 18 is an inclusive global school serving grades 3K-5th where every student is a learner, every learner is a graduate, and every graduate is a success.

We do this by:

• Offering multi-lingual programs in German and Spanish to support language diversity and advance literacy skills.

• Fostering teamwork and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning with fun trips and science-based lessons.

• Providing students with techniques to manage their feelings, so they can be prepared to learn, with help from the Child Mind Institute.

• Promoting creative engagement through various art forms.

• Welcoming parents to be involved and invested in the school community. Through parent leadership, families are involved partners with the school environment.

• Creating a shared understanding by all stakeholders that it’s not about us, it’s about the kids!
