Apply for 3k & Pre - K
In New York City, children begin 3K in the calendar year they turn three. Children begin pre-k when they turn four. If you have a child born in 2021, you will apply to 3K this winter and your child will begin 3K in September 2024. If you have a child born in 2020, you will apply to Pre-K this winter and your child will begin Pre-K in September 2024.
The 3K & pre-K application is now open, and the deadline to apply is March 1, 2024.
During the application period, families can apply one of two ways:
Online with MySchools. Apply online in English, Arabic, Bengali/Bangla, Chinese, Haitian Creole, French, Korean, Russian, Spanish, or Urdu.
By phone at 718-935-2009. Interpretation services are available in more than 200 languages for over-the-phone applications. You can ask questions and request information about admissions in any language when you call.
3k, Pre - K, & Kindergarten Registration
When school offers are given in the Spring, we will be asking families to accept or decline their offer in Myschools.
Families can also respond to offers by contacting the school directly at our email, administration@ps18k.com or by calling the Office of Student Enrollment at 718-935-2009.
Our school staff will be reaching out to confirm your acceptance and obtain an email.
Registering for Grades 1 - 5
Families interested in registering for grades 1 to 5 for the 2024-2025 school year can reach out to Ms. Blanca at BRamirez@schools.nyc.gov.
